A great three-day sea kayak journey to explore the marvels of Capachica peninsula, Amantani & Taquile islands at Lake Titicaca. This trip will give you the chance to get in contact with the hidden the natural treasures of this region as with the culture & traditions. Our experienced guides will make of you a direct participant of the local culture and not being just an observer. An itinerary that will give you a wide perspective of life in Lake Titicaca.

Day 01.- Kayak to Amantani

At 6:40 am. We head onto Llachon at the peninsula of Capachica in a 2 ½ hour motor boat ride, arrival at 09:30 am. Approximately to the “Titicaca Kayak Adventures” base camp at 09:30am. Where our sea kayak guide will provide the security b iefing and we get all the necessary adventure gear, then we paddle towards Amantani Island, (It takes 3 hours r approximately). , As we paddle an atmosphere of quietness invades our journey and the views of the endless Lake Titicaca horizon welcome you in this part of the trip. Arrive to Amantani Island, there meet your designated host family and friendly inhabitants, by narrow path ways they will lead you to the home stay, lunch at the home stay and in the afternoon have go for a cultural exploration where the locals will show you aspects of their real culture, Optional football matches with the locals, then hike to the top of the island to observe the pre-Incan temple of the father earth and watch sunset over lake Titicaca. After dinner we go for a small celebration with native music and dances.

Day 02. - Kayak Taquile Island

After breakfast we kayak onto Taquile Island in a 3 hour paddling, it is a great sea kayak experience with the morning winds. Then hike to the village and observe a traditional culture & people that had conserved authentic clotting and ancient textile skills. Lunch & Accommodation at a local guest house, in the afternoon time to explore this beautiful island, optional hike to the top of the island and get spectacular landscapes and the sunset over Lake Titicaca. Dinner and overnight at the home stay.

Day 03. - Kayak to Llachon & Visit the reed islands.

Breakfast and then, the morning sun over the lake will companion us while we paddle onto Llachon on the peninsula of Capachica, this particularly pleasant sea kayak journey, it takes 3 hours. At noon Lunch close to the sea kayak base camp, and continue to back to Puno city by motor boar stopping at the incredible Uros reed island, there reed boat rides can be arranged with the locals , and in the afternoon we arrival back in Puno.

Day 01.- Kayak Llachon to Ticonata island

At 6.40am depart by motor boat to get the “Titicaca Kayak Adventures” base camp (arrival at 9:30am aprox.), on the peninsula of Capachica one of the most scenic spots at Lake Titicaca, here we have a training session before kayaking for about 3 hours onto Ticonata island, lunch t arrival. Ticonata Island is a hidden jewel on Titicaca Lake, there a unique communitarian tourism based project can be observed; spend the night in authentic thatched roof conic houses, as to experience of traditional dances and bonfire bellow the stars.

Day 02.- Kayak Ticonata island to Amantani

Today we take an exciting sea kayak excursion of 3 hours paddling onto Amantani island, the scenery is nothing short of breath taking and watch out of the traditional houses on the coasts of Amantani Island. Accommodation at the local people home stays, typical lunch and in the afternoon have time to explore the island, play football with the locals or hike to the top of the island for sunset. Dinner and small celebration with the locals.

Day 03.- Amantani / Uros / Puno

After breakfast we say good bye to our host families and sea kayak onto Llachon for about 3 hours, back to the base camp, the support motor boat and guides ensure that the trip is worry-free. Spectacular scenery fills every section of our journey as it did the previous days, thus physically challenging but worthwhile, and within the ability of most reasonably fit travellers. Later by motor boat continue back to Puno city, on the way stop at Uros, the incredible reed floating islands, meet its friendly inhabitants and get marveled of how they have developed an entire culture based in the use of the Totora reeds. See their houses and reed boat rides can be arranged with the local fishermen, then continue to the Puno’s main dock .

• For day trips on to the Lake, you generally need very little, but when kayaking the following items are advisable to carry in addition to what you already will take in your day pack for a day trip.

3. Warm clothing and a jacket or a fleece
4. Warm socks (extra)
5. Hat and sun glasses
6. Sun screen (sun block) very important.
