Enjoy Llachon Community a place to relax away the touristic track, and kayak onto Taquile Island, there enjoy of pristine sandy beaches and spectacular views and have contact with a traditional culture. As well Visit the Uro’s reed Floating Islands and see an unbelievable way of life.

Day 01.- Uros/ Llachon home stay.

Transfer from your hotel to the port at 8am. Then by motor boat we depart onto the Uros floating Islands. There in the reed banks we observe a bunch of reed floating islands stepping on them feel very much like a water bed, meet its friendly inhabitants and their reed boats, visit two of the 30 islands and continue by motor boat heading to Llachon at the peninsula of Capachica, there hike a panoramic path way with splendid Lake Titicaca views, on the way get in touch with the local people life, colors and faces. Then we are welcome by our host family and enjoy of a delicious lunch served on native products. In the afternoon explore the area, optionally hike to the mountain to see the sunset. Or just experience from close the local culture. Dinner and overnight at the home stay.

Day 02.- Kayak to Taquile island

After breakfast meet the sea kayak guide of “Titicaca kayak Adventures” who will provide the security briefing, then we paddle towards Taquile island, slowly as we paddle the atmosphere of quietness invades our journey, (It takes 3 hours, approximately). Arrival to the north section of the island, for a short rest if you have energies left we continue paddling along the coast to a small port, from there hike to the main village , there we have an encounter with the people & culture of the island, lunch at a local restaurant, time to explore this beautiful island. At 2.45pm return to Puno by motorboat (3 hour ride).

Visiting the 3 different islands included in this trip will give you a wide perspective of life in Lake Titicaca.

Day 01.- Kayak to Amantani

This unique journey Begins at 6:30 am with transfer from your hotel to the port. Then by motor boat (7:00 am we head onto the “Titicaca Kayak Adventures” base camp at the Peninsula of Capachica in a 2 ½ hours trip, arrival at 09:30am. There our sea kayak guide will provide the security briefing and we get all the necessary adventure gear, then we paddle towards Amantani Island, (It takes 3 hours approximately). , As we paddle an atmosphere of quietness invades our journey and the views of the endless Lake Titicaca horizon welcome you in this part of the trip. Arrive to Amantani Island, there meet your designated host family and friendly inhabitants, by narrow path ways they will lead you to the home stay, lunch at the home stay and in the afternoon have go for a cultural exploration where the locals will show you aspects of their real culture, Optional football matches with the locals, then hike to the top of the island to observe the pre-Incan temple of the father earth and watch sunset over lake Titicaca. After dinner we go for a small celebration with native music and dances.

Day 02. - Kayak to Taquile Island and visit the Uros islands

After breakfast we say good bye to our host families and kayak onto Taquile Island in a 3 hour paddling, it is a great kayak experience with the fresh morning winds. Then hike to the village and observe a traditional culture & people that had conserved authentic clotting and great textile skills. Lunch and return to Puno in the afternoon stopping at reed banks and visit the incredible reed floating islands inhabited by the Uros an etnic group that had made of the use of the Totora reeds and art and way of surviving. There reed boat rides can be arranged with the local fishermen, and then we continue back to Puno.

02 DAY: KAYAK AROUND AMANTANI & TO TAQUILE

Day 01. - Kayak Around Amantani Island

A great alternative, we depart from Puno at 6:30am. By motor boat we continue direct to Amantani Island in a pleasant 3 hour motor boat ride, at arrival we meet the “Titicaca Kayak Adventures” sea kayak guide. After the security briefing we paddle around this beautiful islands (approximately 12 kilometers of circumference & 3 hour paddling) this journey will contact you with spectacular landscapes of all the coast line, as with authentic countryside farming scenes. Later at return to the starting point we meet our host families for home stays, typical lunch and experience of a cultural encounter with this traditional culture, then an optional hike to the high point of the island to watch the sunset. After dinner your designated family will dress you up in traditional local costumes and take you to the community hall for a small celebration, it is a lot of fun! Fell the energy of this live culture.

Day 02. – Kayak to Taquile Island

After breakfast we paddle towards Taquile Island during 3 hours approximately, this is a great chance experience the lake centre which is profoundly silent, a wonderful retreat from the city noise. Arrive to the north section of the island (mid day aprox.) and hike by a panoramic path way to visit the island main settlement, There you will see an indigenous community that conserves original traditions and organization. The isolation has kept them almost untouched by the modern world. Lunch and return to Puno, on the way back by motor boat stop at the incredible reed floating islands and continue to Puno city.
