Explore the peninsula of Capachica at Lake Titicaca, by paddling on its coasts, this exceptional place has pristine sandy beaches and spectacular views. But in fact they are authentic, their culture is authentic, and the history of why they live amongst the reeds is fascinating.

Enjoy of an unforgettable journey that combines Titicaca Lake landscapes, authentic culture & traditions. This excursion begins at 6:40 am with transfer from your hotel to the port. Then by motor boat (7:00 am) depart to visit the Uros floating Islands. Stepping on them feels very much like a water bed (but it is quite safe). We see the houses, the islands and meet its friendly inhabitants .Uros people are descendents of one of the oldest South American groups. Rides on traditional reed boats can be arranged. We visit two of the 30 islands before continuing onto Llachon on the Peninsula of Capachica.

Continue in a relaxed navigation of 2 hours. At arrival to our base camp (at 10:45am aprox.), meet the team of “Titicaca kayak Adventures” After the security briefing of our experienced guide we paddle along the Coasts of Capachica peninsula and Llachon Village, for 1 ½ hour (5 kilometers approximately, OW , total paddling 3 hours). Short stop at a beautiful sandy beach, and continue paddling back to the kayak base. Lunch at a small restaurant. Time for a short hike to explore the local culture life, on the way see the crops, cattle and superb views. In the afternoon take the motor boat back to Puno.

Experience the open lake, which is absolutely and profoundly silent, a wonderful retreat from the city noise by paddling from Llachon onto Taquile Island, there enjoy of pristine sandy beaches and spectacular views and have contact with a traditional culture that conserves some original Inca social traditions and organization. As well Visit the Uro’s reed Floating Islands and see an unbelievable way of life.

Our journey Begins at 6:30 am with transfer from your hotel to the port. Then by motor boat (7:00 am) depart to visit the Uros floating Islands. There in the reed banks we observe a bunch of reed floating islands full of houses and people, it gives to the area a special atmosphere, there meet its friendly inhabitants and their reed boats, we step on two of the 30 islands and continue by motor boat heading to Our Kayak base camp at the Peninsula of Capachica (2 hours navigation, arrival at 10:30am). There the experienced guide of “Titicaca kayak Adventures” will provide the security briefing, then we paddle towards Taquile island, slowly as we paddle the atmosphere of quietness invades our journey, (It takes 3 hours, approximately). Arrival to the north section of the island, where we have an encounter with the people & culture of the island, lunch at a local restaurant, time to explore this beautiful island. At 2.45pm return to Puno by motorboat (3 hour ride).

A variation for the ones that would like to have more time to explore Taquile Island, Depart Puno at 6:30 am. Visit Uros the reed islands on the way, arrival to Taquile at 10:30am approximately, there at the north port of the island we meet the team of “Titicaca Kayak Adventures”. After the security briefing from our guide we paddle along the coasts of Taquile Island towards the south section, the views are just superb, arrival to a quiet sandy beach, Lunch at a local restaurant an time to explore the surrounding and to know Taquile island’s culture and traditions as to do a short hike by a panoramic path way with great views, at 2.45pm approximately we return to Puno in a 3 hour motor boat ride.
