This can easily be combined with the : 2 Day : Amantani experience, either on the first day paddling on the coasts of Taquile island nor on the second day kayaking from Amantani onto Llachon , You can choose one of the extensions or the both.

Day 1: Taquile Island / Amantani.

Enjoy Lake Titicaca, authentic culture & traditions. This excursion begins at 7:00 am with transfer from your hotel to the port. Then by Semi – Fast motor boat (8:00 am. depart) strait to Taquile Island. After a relaxed boat ride of 2 hour navigation at 09:45 am arrival to a port at the north section of the Island.

+Kayak Extension by Taquile

There we are welcome by the team of “Titicaca Kayak Adventures”, After the security briefing from our experienced guide, get dressed & fully equipped we star paddling by the coast of Taquile Island, while enjoying of spectacular landscapes .Observe different types of algae through the transparent blue waters as well Observe some the Peru’s Highland birds, and fell the nature from close. After 1 ½ hours paddling we arrive to a pristine sandy beach at the south section of the island.

Optional hike for by a pre-inca path way (soft and gradual hike) with impressive landscapes,. Lunch at a local restaurant and cultural activities. Later at 1.50 pm approximately, we hike to the main port and descent about 500 steps down to the dock. At 2.30pm we depart to continue our journey onto Amantani Island, (45 minutes motor boat ride). When we get to Amantani Island. You will probably see local families running down the hill to welcome you.

There you meet to your designated family .they will take you in a deep cultural encounter with the daily life issues. Optional football match, then a hike to the high point of the island to watch the sunset. After dinner your designated family will dress you up in traditional local costumes and take you to the community hall for a small celebration, it is a lot of fun! Day 2: Amantani / Uros reed islands / Puno.

+Kayak Extension: Amantani to Llachon

Enjoy Breakfast with our designated family, and then they take you to the main port, where you meet the team of “Titicaca Kayak Adventures” we have a training session before kayaking for about 2 hours onto Llachon, fell the immensity of lake Titicaca, and get a great chance to experience the lake centre which is profoundly silent, a wonderful retreat from the city noise. After this great experience arrival to Llachon

Then we head onto the incredible reed floating Islands. After a pleasant motor boat ride of 2 hours 30 minutes we visit the Uros reed floating Islands. Stepping on them feels very much like a water bed (but it is quite safe). Meet its friendly inhabitants .Rides on traditional reed boats can be arranged with the local fishermen. Visit two of the 30 islands, then share an intercultural activity with the locals, see their houses .Later we continue to Puno arriving at 1.00 pm approximately. Transfer to your elected hotel.

Note 1: For an additional cost of only $US 5.00 we can organize a delicious picnic lunch over the reed islands , it consist of Avocado, Andean cheese, bread of the region, jam, tomatoes, cucumbers and more. So you don’t lose time for lunch on Puno City.

Note 2: The tour arrives back In Puno at 13:00 pm. Then there is the chance to take other excursions like the one departing to Sillustani and see impressive pre Incan buildings amongst superb landscapes, nor continue by Bus to Cusco or Arequipa, nor just time to wonder around the city.

For day trips on to the Lake, you generally need very little, but when kayaking the following items are advisable to carry in addition to what you already will take in your day pack for a day trip.
